Interior Solar Shades
We have over 300 fabrics ranging from simple screens to designer materials that can be used with our interior solar shades. Shades come in different densities (tighness of weave). The higher the density, the more the fabric blocks out the light.
Light control: our solar fabric densities range from 50% (blocks out half of the sun's light) to 100% (total black out).
UV and Heat control: our solar fabrics also reduce solar heat and the damaging U V rays to protect your furnishings from both color fading and sun related damage.
Our shades can be made to fit any rectangular opening. The shades can be mounted at any angle (horizontal to vertical).
Depending on the total size of the shade and the weight of the fabric, the shades can be operated either manually (by pull chain) or they can be motorized and remotely operated. For motorized shades that would be hard to run power to, such as a window in a French door or a window that is high on a wall, we can install battery operated shades. Battery powered shades can be operated (twice a day) for about a year before the 4 ordinary AA bateries need to be replaced.
The hand held remote controls can be set up to operate each shade independently or they can operate the shades in groups (all up, all stop, all down) with a push of the button.
Our solar shades have been used in both homes and commercial buildings.
Advertising and solar control. For commercial applications, our solar shades can be printed with the company logo, any digital photograph, or any type of advertising that will be displayed when the shade is lowered. The printed information will only be seen when viewed from the printed side. Persons looking through the screen from the non-printed side will not see the printing. This is ideal for store fronts that face east or west and need sun reduction without appearing that they are closed. We have also had some home customers print their favorite beach sceen on their patio roll down screens. A great way to spend the day at the beach without ever leaving your home swimming pool.
